The staff at this place was mind-blowingly friendly and accommodating. Seriously, they exceeded my already super high standards for hospitality. Every time we came and went, someone was there to greet us at the door with a big smile. And get this, they even offered us refreshments on a regular basis! Whether we wanted a friendly chat or some quiet time, the staff was always there to make us feel special. And let's talk about the house itself, it's jaw-droppingly exquisite. The woodwork is impeccably maintained, and the decor is so tasteful and elegant. I cannot wait to come back for another stay at this amazing place.

The staff was incredibly friendly and provided excellent recommendations for restaurants. I was impressed by the attention to detail, from the Aveda quality products in the bathroom to the chocolate chip cookies left on my pillow. The location was perfect, just a short walk from downtown. I will definitely be returning in the future. I highly recommend this gem of a hotel.

The hotel's location was perfect for exploring the city, with many attractions within walking distance. The complimentary bikes provided by the hotel were a great bonus and allowed us to explore even further. The staff at the hotel were attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our stay.
While the hotel had many positive aspects, there were a few downsides. parking was a bit of a challenge as there were limited spaces available and an additional charge for parking.

In this cozy B&B/Inn, the public spaces were beautifully restored and had a nice bar. Our room was spacious and had classical decorations, a gas fireplace, and a large patio. The bathroom was huge and even had a secret wall in the bookcase. We were pleasantly surprised with fresh chocolate chip cookies left on our bed and the free snacks in the bar. The staff provided top-notch service from start to finish. Plus, the location was convenient, just a few blocks from the capital square and close to the university.
Parking was a bit tricky as there were limited spots available and an additional charge for parking. The steep spiral staircase could be challenging for older guests.

Nothing that I didn't like.

The architecture and history of the place were impressive. The view from the top floor overlooking the city was breathtaking. The staff was friendly and provided great restaurant recommendations. The room was spectacular and beautifully decorated
The room size was small, typical for the time period, but not ideal for travelers with lots of luggage. The stairs to the second floor were narrow, winding, and steep, making it difficult to handle heavy bags.

Sunny rooms, delicious breakfasts! Great spot near yummy restaurants in a cool old-style building. Super close to the lake 🌊, the state capitol 🏛️, and the town square.

The hotel's location was fantastic, just a short walk from downtown. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcomed and cared for. The rooms were adorable and well-furnished, with thoughtful details like Aveda quality products in the bathrooms. The breakfast included in the price was delicious, with artisan bread and great espresso being served. The small touches, like chocolate chip cookies waiting on our pillows, made our stay even more enjoyable.
First, the parking situation was confusing and we ended up being charged an unexpected $10 fee. Secondly, the access to the balcony was limited as there were no chairs provided for us to sit on.
